Christmas season is never an ordinary season in the life of people around the world, most especially kids who jump up and down in excitement, visiting Santa Claus and anxiously waiting for the gift to receive, the food to devour and dress to wear. To me 25th Dec isn’t just the only big day, because on the 24th Dec, I, in some way like John the Baptist, fore-run the birthday of Jesus Christ. Of all the Christmas Eve in history 24th of Dec, 2010 stands out in all its full the glory as the day I became 24………..24 on 24th…………. a once in a lifetime coincidence.
Looking back at the things I’ve done with my life in the last 24 years, I couldn’t do more than just roll on the floor and praise God for bringing me this far. Like I always say, my life has been according to God’s plan and I appreciate His mastery of making me a master piece. He has being my Father, Comforter, Provider, Guardian and most especially a good friend, who despite my iniquities, love me more than I could ever imagine. He has been with me through everything, day and night without asking for any thing in return. He never despises me even when I fail to acknowledge Him in good or bad time. He being God, has blessed my life with so many beautiful things and beautiful angel-incarnate whom I refer to as my friends and family. Without them all my life would have been at a stand still or probably would have ended a long time ago.
Throughout the 24 years of living, the year 2010 seems to be the most intriguing, fascinating, fulfilling and a record breaker. During the year, I graduate from OOU after a long overdue stay in the never-to-be-forgotten school. Making friends with a lot of writers and Poets was one of the best things that happened also. I wonder which gift I could give myself today, but couldn’t think of one, but thanks to one of my most respected poet, Wellsaid Wordsmith, who gave me permission to use his concept, I decided to write some truth about me.
